@BathysphereHat@mastodon.online This is an important point. Mailing them means exposing yourself and besides being anxious about it, it may not be a good idea, depending on the context. Science is not clear cut. While it may be curiosity and scientific advancement that drives people objectively, there are other interests at play, which puts up barriers. And that is in fact okay, to a degree. That people need to ask for research like that should be the rare exception and we have to continue the fight for open access being the default. So that knowledge and insight can flow.
