@BigShellEvent@toot.cat Yeah, it’s weird. There’s this deep tribalism where people feel betrayed if you move away. Like you’re too good for them or something. When we moved away for the first time, multiple people responded to our leaving with, “You’ll be back.” But it comes from insecurity, I think, because they’re also fascinated by it. Or maybe it was just me who was fascinated? I had the wanderlust since a young age. I don’t know. The longer I’m away the more I think I never actually understood those people. 🤷🏻‍♀️
