Thx. I use KeePass portable and done so forever, so don't' guessing it's not XC, which I spose I should look at. I love the Netbank physical token generator that removes all the online fancy and nerve-wracking methods - as in when they fail or choose to argue. My second bank The Mutual (Maitland (NSW) building soc) also gave me one. Clearly not practical for 15 million peeps!
Did look at a how to and it went on about QR codes which is probs why I bailed last time I looked at it.

@Sheep_Overboard@infosec.exchange https://my.gov.au/en/myaccount/settings/sign-in-settings#/ --- iirc within here is where you can change your #2FA arrangement, including to #TOTP this is what i see now each time i login; it's really cool & works well NB: you can use KPXC independent of your browser, but best optimisation arises when using it with the official KPXC addon in one's browser, as i learned to do.
