I have an anti-ai 13yo who had his first taste of digital logic in school this past year, and he wants to start building some things in Roblox or Minecraft so I would like to find something that has plans that are explained, show how it works, etc. Building small well explained circuits. YT has videos, but most seem to be "dig this and put this here" videos with the "how" but not the "why" 1/2 #AskFedi

@xinit@mastodon.coffee If you are able to swing it, consider buying any of the LEGO Powered Up hubs individually or as part of a set either on Bricklink.com or from a local shop or used. Then put pybricks.com on it to program in Python or upgrade to the block programming mode. There is nothing quite like writing a program and turning on a motor or reacting to a sensor for inspiring some kids to explore their ideas. #pybricks #lego
