A junior has no chance of getting their job back, nor will they ever get a chance to become one of those experienced engineers. Ford isn’t interested in building a sustainable system where people can accumulate experience and grow, they want the humans to help improve their cost-saving automation – and then the humans will be let go again. The strategy is still to replace human car designers by computers, this strategy merely suffered a minor setback.
