I regard with growing alarm the idea of "trauma dumping" as a supposed negative— that talking frankly about your troubles is variously unusual, rude, harmful, or even something to be punished. It seems to be verging even on an idea that trauma is somehow something which is infectious, spread by talking about. 1/
