@pekkatahkola@mas.to In Spain at least it use to be that with every building you had to do the sidewalks, pipe canalization, etc. around it, making most of the infrastructure used by pedestrian paid by those who buy a house. There are areas urbanized by cities before hand, but during building constructions a lot of sidewalks needs to be redo.
