For (neurodivergent) people who have developed a fear of being misunderstood and not accepted for who they are, it's really tempting to use LLMs as a kind of "politeness prosthetic"
After all, these tools are literally shaped by human reinforcement to write in a tone most pleasant to the average person. But what is it really?
