Hey #homelab & #selfhost crowd, my setup is stable enough and has worked for years but it's probably not the most secure and I'm thinking about moving away from a local reverse proxy for the services I want to expose and going with a #pangolin or #netbird setup for all my home network anywhere needs. Has anyone made the switch, which one did you go with and was there any pitfalls?

@sp4rkr4t@mastodon.scot can’t speak to pangolin or netbird but have been using my own headscale coordinator and tailscale for everything, very little is publicly exposed, what is sits behind caddy-coraza with OWASP rules protecting the web apps. any SSO solution like authentik or keycloak will need to be public if you want it to be part of the auth for your netbird/pangolin/tailscale setup.

@sp4rkr4t@mastodon.scot It's funny you mention this because I've been thinking about moving off #Tailscale :tailscale: and saw this toot late last night - https://social.mauve.haus/@mauvehed/statuses/01KWANKG9DD299RHT6RZSEKM4A I've made it as far as opening the Netbird website 🤣, but I'll be doing more research this week!
