Anything you allow them to do to criminals, they will eventually do to you. I get that that's not a poem that well-meaning liberals can stand behind, but it's true. If you let them mistreat criminals, guess what, you're only a breath away from being a criminal. That's why, even if you don't have a moral objection to state-sponsored murder, you should have a practical one: if you let the state murder criminals, they'll try to murder you at some point. And I get that white people were hoping to run out the clock while the state was still murdering Black and brown people, but guess what fuckos, that ain't happening. We're in the firing line now. Shit is happening to us too. Which is why I'm always deeply disappointed when I see otherwise right-thinking people saying, "Rapists should be killed." You know whom the state likes to make into rapists? Queer people. Black people. But please, go ahead and hand the state a gun to put to the heads of queer and/or Black people. This goes beyond due process. This goes beyond cruel and unusual punishment. Anything, literally anything, you allow them to do to criminals will eventually be visited on you. I'd go so far as to say that anything you allow the state to do to *anyone* will be used against you. But tell me more about how pedophiles should be castrated. I'm sure no one other than legitimate pedophiles have ever been punished for pedophilia. Let me take a quick sip of my coffee while I peruse this book about history...
