I got a lot of color tattoo ink that's gonna expire next year, which means i got a ton of expensive art material i can use for its intended purpose. The obvious reuse option would be to use it for fake skin for practice. That said, i doubt i'll go through this ink fast enough bc im usually to busy doing tattoos on actual skin atm.
Considering alternative reuses:
- painting with tattoo ink isnt too bad. This stuff is so loaded with pigment, so makes sense. Straight from the bottle, it's--

--similar to working with watercolors from a tube, or even like a gouche with a thinner body and a less matte finish. It also soluble like a watercolor. Tat ink to my knowledge has been used for this purpose for trad flash sheets in some circles, so this isn't exactly new territory. - Considering using some of the slow-dry acrylic medium with this ink to give it those properties and some waterfastness - can also reuse the bottles for custom mixes of airbrush paints
