@tombofnull@voidwood.online That all sounds pretty standard, I think when I was obsessing over the SDSs before what I was most interested in was the pigment itself and its chemical makeup (lots of reds break down in the sun into carcinogens etc which is why I really only tattoo black, even though black isn't perfect obviously it holds in one place better and breaks down much more slowly, and lots of folks have reactions to the zinc in white which is why I just do OG greywash and dotwork etc) But literally none of that matters when using it to paint! Lots of inks for art are alcohol based, also, so my guess is with most paper it's going to be fairly smooth, maybe like an alcohol marker, especially if you were to thin it -- but what you mentioned about witch hazel and Ph might matter more and I'm super interested in what results you get. And yeah, particle size matters a lot in skin (most of the new micronized particles actually don't hold as well despite initially seeming more pigmented -- there's a guy out here making his own macro particle inks based off his old school knowledge and it's pretty cool -- and sometimes this matters for health, too, because the smaller the particle the easier for it to travel through the body via lymph leakage etc) but I've never considered it for paints. I mean, I've made my own charcoal inks and there's definitely a threshold where if the particles are too big they just won't blend into solution but barring that Fun stuff to nerd about, thanks for sharing, best of luck!
