@matt@oslo.town vipps is for payments, right?
at start, the app felt shitty, it was like a bad MVP. then shortcut came along and for a while it was nice and sleek. at one point they added mobile subscription (before removing it), then they added loyalty cards, then there's something called social and VIP. WTF? just keep it for payments, ok? apparently they want you to have FOMO beyond payments....

@km@mastodon.babb.no Ah, fair enough - you don't like the "bloat". I pretty much just use the tap-to-pay aspect. And then if I go out with friends and want to split a bill, we sometimes use Settlements. Or maybe I buy something from a market and use the QR code scanning from the homepage. Since tap-to-pay is probably 90% or more of my usage, I don't even open the app so much. The bloat doesn't really effect me. But I get it, if you are in the app often, all the extra stuff is probably quite annoying.
