Remember, the geek trade has been grotesquely malformed by forty years of sitting on top a money-printing machine. LLMs didn't do that, the extraordinary decline in the cost of physical computing and the cost of distributing software did that.
Most software orgs turn the crank and get the money, turn the crank and get the money.
They don't care about quality. They don't care about performance. They don't care about customers. They don't care about anything except whether the crank turns.
