@jes@outerheaven.club @davidrevoy@framapiaf.org for so long all the competitors were just shit. I don’t think that’s the case any more, though. I’ve been Wacom-only since the very early days but maybe I should try some others now that there’s many others, but which are the ones to avoid.

@u0421793@toot.pikopublish.ing @jes@outerheaven.club Yes, for long Wacom also had the patent for battery-free stylus by magnetic resonance, and that's how they did monopolise the industry. Once the patent was expired, not that long ago, maybe less than 10 years, we saw many new brands arriving on this market.

@u0421793@toot.pikopublish.ing @davidrevoy@framapiaf.org I do notice my wacom cth-680 does have a pretty substantial jidder issue when hovering that gets worse with more distance, there is less latency but I feel the resolution of the tablet is lower than any of my modern cheap tablets.
