Everyone should stop worrying about labels and just state their beliefs. They don't save anyone any actual effort unless you're ideology is something simultaneously mainstream enough so everyone knows what you're talking about and on niche enough so as to mean anything when you proclaim it. Also you have to agree with it on all major fronts. You can't call yourself a libertarian even if the only thing you disagree with them on is deregulating hard drugs; and doing so simply causes more confusion. Also arguing about what labels should be applied to other persons is double asinine.

@Waldbrand@poa.st I might be biased as I consider political or social ideologies to basically be a cancer on their own. At least as they currently are used. That is as a package deal of policies and probably some principles that lead to the polocies in the first place. It's backwards. It leads to persons having to shop for an ideology and 'take the good with the bad'. You can just pick and choose what you believe, there's nothing wrong with 'ideological inconsitancy'.
