@wjmaggos@liberal.city I undertand having a preference. For me, I think Nostr has an insufficient means for content moderation (which they would say is a feature not a bug) however, the whole open social web is improved by them being bridged into it, and my posts here improve (I think) Nostr by the fact that I can bridge my posts to them.
Gopher actually does still exist and ties into and benefits one web. (An extremely tiny part but I suppose it meets that communities needs)

@tchambers@indieweb.social and all I'm saying is that these differences matter and while I want full interoperability, it matters which protocol is most widely adopted. imo the full view of the network as available in the bluesky app view is great, but there's a centralization cost if this continues. as you wrote in your updated article about fedi sins, we're making progress. I wish more AT people were helping with that instead.
