Tiny problems get dressed up as “plans,” “systems,” “workflows,” and “productivity.” It sounds like office satire, or a joke about procrastination, and it is partly that. But the joke also tricks you. Because it feels familiar, it is easy to label it too fast and move on. The deeper point is that we often rush to explain things before we really understand them. We see a few familiar signs, slap a category on them, and feel done. But that quick answer can stop us from noticing what is actually going on underneath.
