I do think it’s necessary because if you had mentioned that you’re not from the US, people would have explained the situation to you in more detail and much more patiently. Instead, you come across as dimply wanting to stir up shit and people react accordingly. That’s not what you want, now is it?

I entered this conversation not understanding why the post was being downvoted so much and after reading comments honestly OP is a combination of insufferable and judgmental. There is no room for nuance and pedophilia is acceptable. It has to be pot stirring. The original premise I thought had room for conversation. The direction it went in is disturbing.
