That’s not entirely accurate at all. I’ve yet to have a single title not work even if launched outside of steam (but added as a game within steam).

Gamepass baby. The only ones I can’t get working. Have to use third party tool to convert steam input to xinput device. I however don’t bother since I also own an Xbox Elite 2 controller with a wireless adapter that works natively in any gamepass title.
