If the cambelt was replaced at 65k, which sounds suspiciously low, then it's due for another one shortly. I have no idea what it costs to replace a cambelt on a baby Ford, but for a Subaru you're looking at around two grand. Otherwise it looks straight. I have no idea of the value, but $3k sounds high for a 27 year old car.
