Keishō-in is enshrined at Imamiya-jina, close-by where her father once had his grocery store.
Later in life she revived the shrine (in a ruinous state after a century of neglect) and many other religious sites in Kyōto.
She never managed to return, even briefly, to her hometown.

Imamiya-jinja (今宮神社) is one of a handful of 'tamanokoshi' shrines. A tama-no-koshi (玉の輿) was a bejeweled palanquin, but also referred to a woman marrying into power and wealth (玉の輿に乗る). Women continue to pray at the shrine, hoping to snag a good husband for themselves.
