@PhilWill@aus.social I think that’s more like buying a non-DRM binary file that might stop working someday due to system dependencies or whatever. It is true we buy things and they break or get old or are no longer useful all the time… but the DRM “purchase” through e.g. Apple TV feels so much more like it’s about a service not a product, IMO.
