Good news, success! Apparently the new rim came WITH a motor. I was futzing with getting the old motor out and then said to myself... That new rim is pretty heavy... And already has a cable dangling out of it Bad news: I have a date with a wire stripper and a soldering iron to fix my brake light cable. I missed it on rear tire insertion and didn't realize it until I started moving the wheel. *sigh*
