@angelthorns@social.treehouse.systems ah damn we need skilled people but we're in braunschweig and non-remote (technically 100 % possible, socially... hm... you know the ills). so I guess my employer does not want to succeed in hiring people. why should people live locally? random useless constraint choking whatever remote-possible company. and we're 100 % remote-possible noone can pretend otherwise we have like no heavy local machinery or patients or whatever we write code.

@angelthorns@social.treehouse.systems in other words: I do recommend my employer but my employer self-discards itself by insisting on hiring like it's 1850 so (hypothetically) if my tech lead reads my mastodon we could (hypothetically)... [ millenial boom sound effect ] [ dwayne johnson eyeing the camera meme] yeah my tech lead is over here on masto and perhaps we suddenly become very cool i'm just a bit bad in putting this into proper words as of typing

@saxnot@chaos.social @angelthorns@social.treehouse.systems it is done mostly to cover up management's incompetency. They have this "I pay for 8 hours, they need to be in front of me for 8 hours" mentality 😂. I've been working remotely for 5 years now, the team is 15+ people, and we have been very productive since the day I joined.
