Second time tags.pub came up with yet another account today, reporting issues with that, so the domain is blocked on my account now. Annoying af, especially since we can follow hash tags already with ease and for quite some time now if we only wanted to. All what I've heard so far to justify turning those into accounts so that people can follow accounts instead just looked like utter bs to me, merely replicating functionality that exists already and comes without any intrusions whatsoever. No request for comments, though. I have zero interest discussing the eventual merits of bots scraping our time lines. Do that on your own account and spare me the lecture. I'm not interested. Like - not *at all*.

Wow! I really have no idea what's so difficult about the warning to not lecture me, but that merely shows proof for utter social incompetence and was *ecaxtly* the kind of bs right from the dude developing and running it (instant block) which I was talking about. Frankly - that all sounds wonderful, but I would rather trust my own eyes and lived experience on not just one, but two rather tiny servers, where using and maybe just following hash tags worked and still works like a charme, producing plenty of results, far exceeding what you would get by simply following other users and then trying to bring up anything in the usually rather worthless search box on your small server. Just browsing or following the hash tag itself instead? You can usually scroll down a long way - even for rather obscure topics like #Monsterdon and even on tiny servers like ours. Anyway. Just give it a try and have fun! 🥳
