Fellas, a realistic cis-male self-image likely includes having "done wrong". Heck, I was brought up in the 1980s in rural Germany. "Of course" I believed shit (and did) that was, by my own standards of today, sexist as fuck. How would 10 year old me have known any better? Denial is not a strategy towards progress. Deal with it. And do better now. Don't, for fuck's sake, defensively double down. I'm so tired. (Not as tired as women*.)
