@Flowermob@mastodon.social Sometimes it works -- at least a little. I've had online discussions where I've presented facts which lead to several encouraging exchanges. Being able to explain things helps too. Don't just say "it's X!" -- link to an excellent source that explains it. You know you've made a difference if they start asking questions. It's super important to keep a neutral and friendly tone. And also know when to quit if the fact-approach doesn't show any promise.
