Okay so I haven't touched chapter 5 yet but hear me out on this What if the Roaring Knight is not any living Deltarune character but some twisted form of an Undertale player? Yes, Toby said that the worlds are completely seperate, but at the end of the Genocide route Chara says "let's erase this pointless world, and move on to the next". This would also explain why Chara has striking similarities to Kris, same shirts, both being non-binary, red eyes, etc. Note that Kris also "posesses" the soul, though that seems to have turned in on them. Another contribution is the disclaimer on the DT website, saying the game is only for experienced UT players. Obviously, shadows of your own genocide haunting you would make no sense if the genocide in question didn't happen. So yeah, what you're doing in DT is amending for what you did and the knight is your wrongdoings taking shape and form
