Mastodon is Ruby Pixelfed is PHP Loops is PHP Matrix/Synapse is Python PeerTube is TypeScript Sigh. I secretly wish the federated & self hosted world was more rooted in a modern Go / Rust culture. Efficient and bullet proof hosting has to be a design goal if we want micro instances. (And yes I know some promising alternatives exist)
