@NickSchwanck@aus.social @paninid@mastodon.world democracy does suck it's endless squabbling and drama, messy, and hard to get anything done authoritarianism is serene, compliant, and clean (well, on the surface). and cruel and brutal as fuck and a ticking time bomb of a pressure cooker waiting to explode what democracy has that other forms of govt do not is that it continually consults the will of the people, for better or worse. but that mean legitimacy and stability other govts will fall to malcontent inevitably
