Jimmy Carter put solar panels on the White House in the 70s. Ronald Reagan ripped them out in the 80s. Right now, my house is drawing 4.7kW. The A/C is on. The washing machine and the dishwasher are going. I'm pulling zero from the grid because of my solar panels and my battery. I know that not everyone can afford that (hell, I can't), but what if we didn't spend billions and trillions of dollars on wars of choice and fossil fuel subsidies, and instead gave it to regular people to de-carbonize their energy use? Elect people who are going to do that. Honestly, it's probably too late to reverse the worst, but if we don't do something, this planet is not going to be livable for most species, both on land and in the oceans.
