Venoms are also generally not poisonous, if you drink them. You can digest proteins just fine. Just don't have any cuts inside your mouth. ;-)

The GLP-1 agonists (Ozempic et al) are derived from Gila monster venom. Perhaps someday, rather than a prescription, patients could keep a pet Gila monster to bite them every week.
