Ok, so after testing it on the laptop: it is slow, but I was able to optimize it (via downscaling) and it's significantly faster now, and looks pretty much the same.
So - it's in main now.

And one last bit of polish for this menu - an open/close animation that's not just crossfade (obviously disabled for reduced motion, same as the subpage ones)
