I went with out-of-button labels for this one, same as for Virtual Boy. So - I decided to go back and revisit the other controllers too - NES, SNES, GB ones (GBA and N64 use in-button labels themselves)

Hmm (No, I'm not going with this, but I could fairly easily make controllers full-color illustrations at this point)
