But.
Much as I dislike AI, there is no reason in principle why data centres can't be powered by renewables.

@mike@sauropods.win I agree, but POSIWID wins here for now. And even if they do, they create massive amounts of ewaste as they burn through the GPUs they buy (it isn't an actual investment in infrastructure, and given how many are being powered by gas on site, it isn't even helping us improve the grid or create more green capacity)
