@CppGuy@infosec.space I had that with gaming a couple of weeks ago. Seems there are bots that follow hashtags and then boost those. No follow or consent from you involved. I found it quite irritating.
Fedi Groups is a different approach that I like and use.
The hashtag bots can get stuffed.

@FloatingOnion@cyberplace.social Indeed they can. I've just given tags.pub a friendly domain block to encourage it to do better.
