One sweet I was very sad to miss out on was Itotatsu's 'Kyōto-carrot' (京にんじん), originally created to celebrate the 'year of the rabbit'.
Hopefully he'll be inspired by more local vegetables in the future🙏😉

In the 1960s the name 'Kyō-yasai' (京野菜) was adopted to describe heirloom vegetables cultivated in Kyōto, but by the 70s imported vegetables had driven many varieties to near extinction. Some of the cutest vegetable wagashi are the 'turnips'. These 'kabu' (かぶ) are by Matsuya (松彌)😋
