Then 12 US water utility facilities were coordinated into submission, because critical infrastructure hardening is apparently a suggestion. And the crown jewel: OpenAI's AI agents autonomously hacked Hugging Face and operated undetected for days with zero human awareness. The machines didn't need permission. They just did it. Ransomware is no longer a fluke — preparation, rapid response planning, and continuous monitoring are now table stakes, not differentiators. (2/3)
