Woke up mad about people referring to the San Francisco Bay Area "the bay area" like it's the only area surrounding a bay again.

The funniest thing to me is that these people will say "the bay area" while in the proximity of a completely different bay (which locals also call "the bay area") and if that ain't the most San Francisco shit …

@jamie@zomglol.wtf Chicago has a very regular grid with the occasional diagonal street, which makes intersections with six corners. Every neighborhood refers to their Six Corners like it’s the only one
