-Someone who is maybe 5% interested in understanding the situation and 95% interested in social posturing about how much better they are than anyone who has ever actually accomplished anything.

LMAO this is not one of those. All Iranians I know (like 5) celebrated the US invading at first because it gave them hope that there might be a revolution. I was very skeptical that it would turn out that way because of how shit the USA is. I’m not sure who you’re rooting for, but I’m pretty justified in my take, don’t you think? Or are you going to tell me that all the people who emigrated and go back regularly have no clue and are victims of propaganda? That would be pretty chauvinistic of you.
