It is possible to want the ethos of privacy but also possible to get that not everyone is willing to sink money into a project that might never fully take off because you can't interact with regular money easily. It is one thing if you are mining and acquiring tokens/coins through alternative methods (which I've done) and another thing to expect everyone to go this route.
