@Jonny@annihilation.social @Frondeur@poa.st Basically it's scientific/empirical approach to crypto. Using Haskell code also allowed the fees to be deterministic before transactions. There are no surprises or guesses. This I find to be critical for future adoption. I also like its eUTXOs structure which improves upon BTC. It also has smart contracts and staking without lock periods. It gets a lot right where a lot of others don't. I don't think the chain has ever been paused. It self-heals when attacks happen against it and it has survived adversarial conditions before too.
