@BenAveling@mastodon.ie And when i mention religious bias, it isn't always obvious where it comes from or why it's even a thing. An example is the ancient Greeks' Geocentric and Heliocentric theories of the universe. These competing models, derived from observation, had religious trappings laid on them over time. Then along comes Christianity, and a whole 'nother layer of mythology, and essentially a stalling of analytical thought. Had to wait 'till the 1500's for corrections to start being applied.
