Just watching #TOTP from 1979 on BBC Four. I've just pointed out to herself that this is like us, at that time, listening to music from the late 1920s and early 1930s.
I said it, but I'm still trying to process it.

@withaveeay@mastodon.scot I mean… I still occasionally listen to the Carter Family Bristol Sessions recordings from ‘28. And I’m rather fond of the 1907 recordings of Joseph Taylor, for that matter. #TOTP
