AI is theft;
Various claims, too many to share all of them:
AI allows ppl to create art
I could accept abolishing copyright, but for everybody
(Copyright was originally for censorship, became a tool for owning a text; disclosure was imposed as a condition for ‘owning’ a discovery)

@BenAveling@mastodon.ie AI doesn't have to involve theft; you can build a significant corpus of knowledge based on public domain materials, but of course the farther back one goes, the more useless the media becomes, mostly due to inaccuracy and religious bias. Extend invitations for people to add their own additions to it (and people will!) i support patents, copyright, and trademarks, although not in the form Disney has fostered in the USA. i believe extending protections to creators fosters innovation.
