I use gnome on my laptop and stuff like scaling worked on several projectors in the school. Webcam (Lenovo) works, I think I recall it didn’t work on another distro. KDE no problem on desktop with monitor and projector plugged in. Panels etc customisable on both screens (I also make it look like gnome ha).
