I miss walking around London. You can pick a random spot on the map and there's probably some weird stuff there, that wasn't so much designed as it emerged across hundreds of years of people bodging things, and occasionally throwing too much money at problems, sometimes at the same time. Clashing architecture and winding paths in nonsensical shapes. Cracks between buildings and back alleys leading nowhere, or sometimes to liminal nowhere-places. Buildings repurposed again and again, until nobody can remember what it was originally for.
