I think she's more forgivable than any of those changes that totally fucked the ending. My personal theory is not necessarily that glowniggers told him to change it, but just that the original ending wasn't marketable for a shonen. It needs to have a triumphant final battle. You can't do that really if your protag is killing off everyone on earth. Even I struggle to figure out how to properly execute that in an entertaining, high stakes fashion. And faggot Mikasa/Eren shippers pressured Isayama to canonize it.
