Will Burnham’s victory kill the Scottish independence movement? No, and this article explains why. It seems some in the UK media in Scotland still don’t grasp this. #Politics #Scotland ‘Reports of My Death Have Been Greatly Exaggerated’ and ‘Burnham putting Scotland back in its box’ https://talkingupscotlandtwo.com/2026/06/20/reports-of-my-death-have-been-greatly-exaggerated-and-burnham-putting-scotland-back-in-its-box/

@RabBrucesSpider1@mastodon.scot And in general Scottish people are a tad more sceptical. Some decided to give Labour a chance in the last election, then have now realised they have changed nothing. Devolution and increasing powers were how previous Labour governments got round the desire for independence, but it’s not going to work any more. Scotland has a completely different ethos to England, that hasn’t changed since I came here almost forty years ago, and I can’t see England changing ever.

@RabBrucesSpider1@mastodon.scot I see the words "Image SuperGrok AI" in that link preview. At that point, it doesn't really matter what's being reported. 🤷
